Car seems to be normal. It ran good, sounded good, nothing unusual. I'll pull the oil filter and cut it open after I put maybe 300-500 miles on it and see what that reveals.

Thank you! I'll try resetting it and see what happens. It didn't look like the head of the drain plug was hitting anything. It's close but not close enough. I'll redo it and take pictures...

What are possible sources for ferrous metal...

What are possible sources of ferrous metal showing up in the oil? First obvious one is IMS bearing, then timing chains. What else can be a source? Would valve tappets be one? Other sources?

Sump plate was reinstalled and spin on oil filter adapter installed. IMS guardian partly installed. Just need to run the wiring through the firewall, fill with oil, and start...
