Valentine Display in Cupholder Spot?
As I was crawling around in my car trying last weekend installing the AutoTop, it occurred to me that a Valentine concealed display might fit where one of the (useless) cupholder slots is. Anyone...

Been using them for a year, no problem. Had thought about the litronics, but the folks at Eurocarwerk in Houston (who I've come to trust) said for the money, you cannot beat the Silverstars in the...

Sweetness!
That's a fabulous-looking car. (Those options, except for the phone, are probably the best ones, if you had to choose.) Don't forget your Boxster brethren...and enjoy your, uh, back seats!

I've watched merrily
as this thread has blossomed. Clearly you won't Blinkwatt, but don't let anyone quell your enthusiam. When I bought my Box on 2001, my brother reminded me that from age 15 on I'd sworn I'd have a...

I looked at my side-skirtless Box
last night, and tried to figure out how skirts would attach. Do the skirts just fit over the existing bottom lip of the panel. I didn't see a piece they would simply replace...

Back in 2001 I was soooo close to pulling the trigger
on an '01 M Roadster before ever driving a Porsche. I had a abolute blast on the test drive -- it was fast, to be sure. Felt like a rocket sled. "M" was so cool. Only down side was I didn't...

Boy SD987, you hit the nail
on the head. I just bought a new Audi S4 a month ago and I'm alternating between it and the Box (mostly based on kid transport, but weather, too). Switching between them has a lot of differences,...

Seat position?
This one has been rolling around in my head for some time...
The boxster seats obviously sit low in the car, to lower the CG among other things I guess. But I like the seat as upright as...

For what it's worth, C&D (Jan. 2000) has the
'01 S gears at redline (7200) at:
1st: 38 mph
2nd: 66 mph
3rd: 96 mph
4th: 119 mph
5th: 143 mph
6th: 160 mph (6650 RPM)
Great point donv re engine speed at deceleration. Had never thought...

Guilty as charged
Had a 1996 M for five years before pulled the trigger on an 01 S. Loved it, hated to sell it, and still think the shifter on it was marginally better than Box. No regrets now, though. Obscure...
