Techron can't hurt, but I guess my suggestion would be to not try and accelerate from 1,500 RPMs. I try to keep it above 2,500-3,000 RPMs at all times, as per many recommendations from this board.

Try squirting some lubricant spray on it. Mine was not working properly and a squirt of Tri-flow plus replacing the guide bushing ($1.50 from Pelican) fixed it.

I couldn't vote since there's no category for replacing with a new engine. My 2003 S engine was replaced under warranty at around 36,000 miles with a new 2006 (larger, non-replaceable IMSB) engine....
