Great write up! I'm thinking about doing mine soon as well... and +1 on the heatshield, I think you would loose some power from the heat of the engine. Tupperware FTW! or sheet metal.

Looks hot hence it's a complete conversion of the 996... However I'm not feeling it, 996 frontend on a boxster? That's like taking a 328i and converting it to an M3.

+1 it was a rainy day in seattle and i felt like takin the boxster out, i did that and my car was just thumping along and as i hit 2nd gear the car was smooth then.
