I took mine in for service and asked that they make the clutch release point lower because it felt weird to me and I never even owned a stick shift car before....

I read it could be done, the guy at the shop said they could do it and do it for guys that track the cars....he also claimed it was harder on the clutch and would shorten its life.....my answer......leave it alone then...

not sure if its accurate but to my understanding it can be adjusted

The only way it could be harder on the clutch is if the lower engagement point caused the clutch to not fully disengage anymore. Either that, or they're thinking that the lessened amount of travel makes the clutch a bit more of an on/off switch.

It would be really hard to judge whether or not the lowered engagement point was really causing a physical change that lessened clutch life, versus people not driving the car properly with a shortened clutch travel or whatever.

Hmm. I pick my car back up on Friday. I'll bug them again about the question if I can remember to do so.

Yeah, my clutch release point was so low, I swear I could shift gears in an instant.

I loved it. I felt like a star.

Now I can't shift for crap.

Woe is me..
