Late to the party but I have a question - why did you do a 996 tune? The 996 maps rely on a 3.25" MAF housing. If this was not done during your TB upsizing, that is likely the source of your ignition/idle issues. Going out in a limb here but the dme may be throwing a code on itself saying that it can't compute the situation. That's total speculation though, but I don't see a coincidence that the "dme fried" code is coming up after a flash.
