That's messed up.,..so on a long trip and that happens can you cut a hose or is that a MAJOR no no

No.

Can’t just cut a hose.

But, you won’t be stranded. It will just take you two hours to fill your tank because you must pump at a trickle for it to take.

But it’s a bad thing.

The only fix is to yank out the battery and get in there and replace the valve.
