Hot Start Issue

When the car is warm or hot it has trouble cranking over, almost like the compression is higher.

No issues with battery & no codes.

Any idea's?

The compression isn't higher, the starter motor torque is lower. Bad starter or bad cables/connections can often cause this symptom.

It mostly happens when hot since the electrical resistance goes up with temperature; high temp => high resistance => low current => low starter torque=> engine barely turns over.

Yep that sounds like it.

I'll check the cables & connections.

Thanks for your help

I had the same issue and it ended up being the starter.

what happens is that the alternator/starter cable from factory goes bad internally it may look ok in the outside part...when this cable starts to fail it will ruin your starter. it makes your starter super hot and weak.
