Kevra,
Yeah I don't understand, 4 hours, that is just unacceptable!
I just installed mine myself and the quality is great, definitely lighter than the stock exhaust. If you are expecting a major change in the sound, you will be disappointed. While it is louder, it is still very subdued which isn't a bad thing, just depends what you are wanting. Personally I would still like a little more rumble, maybe after I add some headers.
The butt dyno did detect an increase in hp but that also could be psychosomatic. All in all you will be pleased with your purchase even if the customer service is lacking jk

On all 2000+ boxsters the pre-cats or warm up cats right by the motor are eliminated with all aftermarket headers except Fabspeeds which are a header with high flow cats.
Che, you need to bring a Fabspeed header knockoff to market and sell it for half the price. You'd probably sell a ton if you can make something like these. As you probably know, all the bungs in the world won't prevent a CEL from happening unless you have some cats.

He doesn't mention if the 4 bung headers will cause a CEL or not. My guess is they will. I guess we'll see once somebody tries them.

Yeah, it probably will. In layman terms the sensors that were aft of the cats will sense too much pollution and think your cats are not functioning properly so there's a good chance it will trip a CEL light.

Where's Che?
Che has totally disappeared from this site. I guess business is good.
That's too bad because like many others on this site I am interested in his headers but not without having the questions posted on this thread answered first regarding the CEL's

No, he's been on here. he just hasn't posted a repsonse here. I clicked on his profile and it said he was actually here today @ Last Activity: Today 09:19. My guess is that he doesn't have reasonable solution to the CEL issue so he hasn't posted a repsonse.

so a better solution is probably to keep the cat by the muffler...
and remove the first cat along with the headers?
would that be better?

Here's the deal. If you want to avoid a CEL then you need to keep your stock manifolds or pay $2,300 for the Fabspeed headers I listed a pic of. The other main cats down stream by the muffler can be removed because there are no 02 sensors by them. Essentially the computer doesn't know if those cats are there or not. Here's a pic of the stock Porsche manifold that che's headers replace and all the others on ebay like his. If you replace this manifold with one without a cat then a CEL is likely. This is why companies like B&B don't make headers for 2000-04 boxsters. They know it will cause issues. The 2.5L guys however are in the clear and don't have to worry about all this stuff.

oh i see!! thanks for the explaination. so the secondary cat ( by the muffler ) is save to remove and replace with test pipe... but there have to have a cat by the exhaust manifolds... i see...

Steve... Im going to hit you!
You cant remove any of your cats without getting a CEL... You can remove the secondary cats IF and ONLY IF you have ROW settings flashed into your ECU or have revo flash your ECU to ignore the input from the last sets of o2 sensors.
If you look at the image, the cat on the right side has an O2 sensor screw in behind it so its expecting cleaner exhaust.
This is where the o2's are bolted to my exhaust on my 2.5.
