See this web page for a list of the model year changes for US cars. Note the difference between your chart and my list come in the engine change over years as your chart says 1999 where in the states it would be 2000.

I owned a Model year 1999 2.5L.

Grab the engine serial number and the Vehicle Identification Number and lets see what they tell us.
