The speedo can switch between miles and kilometers for both the odometer and speedometer on the digital LCD screen (at least it did on mine, not sure if you need the OBC for that to work).
And the Fahrenheit piece really doesn't matter - if the needle points straight up, it's all good. Points too much to the right, bad.
My first Boxster was a US car that was imported over to Canada. No probs with the display.
