BOX S Brake Rotors

Does anybody know why the service manual prohibits machining the BOX S rotors?

The base car rotors can be turned and the minimums are listed but it says the S rotors cannot be machined.

Likely due to the S rotors being drilled units.

The S rotors work directional. The venting slots in the middle are designed for the left and the right side. Also the the drilled holes coresspond with the venting slots in the middle. So you need a rotor for the left and for the right side.

In general because of the holes. Has it been done yes...

Does damage to the brake machining bit and because it skips across the holes, yes you can bevel each hole to minimise damage to the bit. thats a lot of holes....

That mineral water bottle is so German and made think it's time for a trip to Germany as it's been to long. When visiting I do miss getting a decent amount of ice cubes in my cold drink especially on those hot humid German summer days. I guess that's because I'm a Amercanized German. Haha!

I've machined them without issue. Just have to slow the machine down a bit.
