Post vids!! I'm a bit of a skeptic regards to seeing that large of a difference, but then again I'm sure there is still a gain to be made with this

All while getting 200+ MPG! This thread is not going to end well...

If you can do this with the Boxster, then you should be able to do it with the other flat 6 motors.
Please put a post on the Rennlist.com 996 forum. I am sure there will be lots of people interested

Paul,
We are a decent bunch but totally intolerant of B/S attempts to get in our wallets.
Compared to the 996 guys on Rennlist -we are choir boys. So the suggestion to try your luck on Rennlist is both helpful and positive.
Some reference/link to your Camaro triumphs may help your credibility? Not disputing your claims but to just dump a blatant ad in our Forum with no prior posts to your credit indicates(incorrectly ?) blind bumptiousness.
So you've had plenty of free exposure - now it is time to put up or ....
Proof please .

Gelb, too much info. I was so looking forward to the fun on the other forum.

<Please excuse the off topic. We can get back to flaming ECU_Doctor straight away.>

I *think* it is 2006 and newer don't need a sniff. older still do. Call you smog station and find out if they have the new machine or not, not all have it...

In AZ it's any OBD II equipped car that they just plug in and don't bother with the sniff test. AZ usually follows what CA does, at least they used to. I just did mine a month ago and no problems with the secondary cats deleted.

Hello everyone!

I am the ECU Doctor!

I have been experimenting with re mapping various make and model ECUs, to get maximum performance out of the factory car. I have had luck with Toyota and Chevrolet ECU's gaining about a 10-20hp gain from factory with a simple ECU remap.

I myself own a 2001 Boxster, it has been my test car. Everything on my car is bone stock, with the exception of a re mapped ECU. What is a re mapped ECU you may ask? Well I simply access the data on the ECU via a computer, change the values of the air/fuel/spark ratio and I can achieve great things (cant tell you all my secrets ;)

With the ECU remapped on my Boxster I can acheive 0-60 times in 3-3.5 seconds, thats a lot better then the 6 second stock time.

I am just trying to pass on my amazing discoveries to you! My fellow Porsche fanatics, if I get enough interest in this we can set up a group deal and get you guys running 3 second 0-60s in no time.

Thank you my friends! And happy Motoring

I also own a 2001 Box, and I am very interested in what you claim. So where are you at on offering some type of group deal? You can PM me if you'd like, maybe that will avoid some of the skeptic flames being blazed in here at you.

Iroczporsche and the ecu doctor, it's funny that iroczporsche just joined, Id love to see a pic of your car.

Well my friends. It appears timco is bored and making new accounts [emoji33].

I'll believe it when we get a video.

JAAY 02-11-2015 12:21 PM

Interested. I would imagine our cars would need about 450 to the wheels to get that time :)

Nope, only 400hp. Surprised you guys didn't know this. You don't need to have this guy do a tune for you. Just get a Durametric Enthusiast tool, go to the Performance options. There you will see a 3 second 0-60 option, just enable it. This gives the car 400hp and turns on the all wheel drive system that all 986's came with.

Pretty sure the OP and the voucher are the same guy.

Not a chance. They have different screen names, and I'm not opening my wallet on any of these until the 0 - 60 time is under 2 seconds.

Well, duh. He selected the 3 second option, no the 2 second option!
