Counter-point. My ride is 12 years old and from everything I can tell - the headlights are original. No yellow or burning on the inside (yes, the outside has clouded, but that's relatively easy to polish up).
It's not the halogens that's the issue, but making sure you use the right halogens.

All that being said - the new design from Nine and Particle are super sexy!

My original amber headlights still look as good as new.

Except for those blue bulbs, 90% of all headlights with burned inner lenses that I see have standard halogen bulbs in them marked "Phillips H7 55 watt" on them. My OEM bulbs and most bulbs that I pull out of units that are not burned say "Osram Germany H7 55 watt"...basically.
What I've read suggests that Osram Sylvania and Phillips are probably the same company, but who knows. The headlight burning may just be random.

Thanks ParticleWave, as someone that anticipates needing new headlight bulbs soon that is really useful.

It looks like Osram is the same as Sylvania.

No problem

Yeah, Osram Sylvania are, just not sure if Philips is related. Google probably knows, but I haven't checked.

What are you doing for DRLs? I'd be surprised if your car has had the headlights on for all of its years/miles.

So you're saying not all H7s are made the same. Interesting. Not sure I buy it, but it's certainly not impossible. IMHO it's in-service time that's the story.

I had 4 different H7s in my car when I put in the projectors: GE, Phillips (MO15 and KO25) and an Osram.
