Have someone drive your car at 15-20 miles per hour and stop fairly quickly in front of you with the front wheels perpendicular to you. if the lower a arm bushings are bad you will actually see the tire move back and forth a half inch or more in the wheel well.

But at your milage I would check tierod ends both inner and outer. Then lower a arm bushings.
