I got that 2000 6 speed today. Took a look underneath to confirm what pan goes with what car.
The following part numbers are off the rubber air baffle/splash guard that are riveted to the aluminum pan and really dictate which one you should use with what car. All three rubber baffle/splash shields are shaped differently.
986.331.184.00 =3.2 with a 6 speed (maybe the 3.2 tiptronic too)
These next two, I'm making an educated guess by what boxsters I've taken apart
986.331.183.00 =2.5 with the 5 speed (maybe 2.7 5 speed too)
986.331.183.01 = this last one I'm not sure of. it could be a 2.5 tip, 3.2 tip or 2.7 5 speed
