I am talking to these guys about getting a rear rim done in the 19X9.5" or 19X10". Unfortunately they only come in 19X11" and that's it. However, these same guys, obviously wheels "Pros", and they assure me that the 19X11" will slide on the 986 without any modifications at all. For info.... the rear tyre on this advertised Boxster is a 295/25/19 (factory Porsche 996).
If this all true, and can be confirmed, I think I will be shooting these guys my CC number and graba set in silver.
So how can we remotely confirm this 19X11" is a "Go" for the little roadster?

Hi,
the RW5 rim in 19x11 offset 40 fits with a 8mm spacer, but i donīt think, that`s possible with a 295 tyre... however... in this configuration only a 265 or 275 should possible, because the 295 would be scratch outside on fender and perhaps inside on the strut. If you want to get lowering your boxster, keep in mind that each rear fender must be widened for 1" and needs a more negative camber!

Holy ********************, this recurring question regarding whether or not a 19 X 11 wheel will fit on a 986 boxster has become nothing short of a Seinfeld episode . Once again for the record, there's no way an 11 inch wide wheel will properly fit on a 986 boxster regardless of what the offset is ! . Tell the wheel "pros" at Roderick that they would have a better chance of fitting one up their a** than they would on your vehicle. I'll even provide a dab of Swisswax to ease the passage .
* On second thought, maybe you should get a set after all and make a video of the install ! This will finally put the issue to rest when everyone sees that you had to take a sledgehammer to your fenders in order to make them fit !

I have not tried and never will. I for one do not like thhe look of anything that big on our little Boxster.
If you look at the picture from the rear you can see the wheels are outside the fender. So as far as fitting yes they might but ----- how would you drive it any movement/ travel up of the rear wheel would cause contact with the fender. I would not want my last two inches of my tire rubbing my fender at 70mph for any length of time.
So if you intend to park car they fit but again to me look bad on car.

19 x 11 is possible but only with a 265er tire and extensive reworking of fender, bumper, a lot of negative camber and so on. i have 18 x 11 on my own, with very low suspension and it it fits and works perfect in all situations. but it is very tricky, to widening the fenders... a little bit to much and the fender gets totally damaged.

Hey Mad, I'm just trying to help you out. But, there's no way an 11 inch wheel will properly fit on a 986 boxster . What SpyderRS has done to his vehicle in order make those wheels fit is an absolute abomination ! Not only does it look ridiculous, but I'm also certain that the vehicle isn't even drivable . You have a great looking vehicle . And, there must be a buzzillion wheels to choose from out there . Why do you insist on tempting fate with those bobo wheels ? You should check out the Victor Zehn wheel . It's nice looking wheel with good fitment at a reasonable price .
Here's an example of a very aggressive fitment . My vehicle has 19 x 10's with a +31 offset on the rear . This is about as aggressive as you can go while still maintaining proper clearance, along with excellent handling characteristics for the street .

Hey Johnny Danger, for what reason you tell some stupid things? the car works absolutely perfect in every situation and what to hell should looks ridiculous and did you ever drive my car to makes you able for saying it isnīt drivable? it isnīt the first boxster, that i modified and i know exactly, what fits and works and what not!
Your fitment is fancy... if you really have any expierience... you should know that your low offset on 10" isnīt the perfect choice! you did forget to tell us the offset in front! Too bad you're so far away, then i would love to compare the performance of our cars!

I have a set of 18 x 11 with 295 tires I tried once just to see. No where close to fitting. Rubs everywhere and that was before I had the m030 suspension
