Good point Jim. I have a C5 and three 911s right now. They are all very fine cars.
Time marches on!

don't let Chevy off the hook that easy. The corvette Its still very far from being the car it could be. It almost makes me want to drop everything, go to design school and build my own coaches like in dem olden days when you only bought the engine and chasis.
Somewhere someone said that the corvette may be fun to rip but you still feel like your sitting in a rental car.
p.s.
in France the the French line up at the start line at LeMans just to hear the Corvette engines fire up. They think they are like what would be Ferraris to us Americanes.

Dave, toss a 3.6L in that S and you'd have the perfect Porsche roadster

Certainly not to me they don't.
I have a $125K Porsche TT in my garage, next to the $44 C5.
Which one would I buy if it were my money?
Hmmm

it is a shame but we never see any new corvettes here, the old imported restored ones on occasions and only in exhibitions or car show, is the old vettes to you like the 993/996 debate we have with the porsche purists?
the newer vettes looks like a handful, would'nt mind to have a go......

These are great videos any links for the box or box s..I looked though the old video threads no luck thanks Vettes are great in a straight line but the box put it to shame everywhere else.

Go to www.racingflix.com and do a search for boxster. There are about 10 different videos on there that should pop up.
