The Nitto NT-01's are a great tire. I have used 6-8 sets over the past 18 months. Since the NT-01 is an R-compound tire, they have incredible dry grip. At half-wear the tread pattern is gone and there are left with only two circumferential grooves on what would otherwise be a full slick. Avoid rain at all costs! I drove home from a track day in the rain at 45mph to avoid hydroplaning. As expected, their life is fast but not particularly long, especially if you are driving hard. The NT-01's don't heat cycle out like a lot of other R-compound tires (Toyo R888's, I am talking about you) so you can drive them until they cord and they will still have reasonably good grip. The NT-01 is the best buy in an R-compound tire that you'll find.

Interesting info. Speaking of hydroplaning, I previously had a set of Pirelli p-corsa's on my vehicle. Talk about a tire that couldn't handle the wet. If someone had a runny nose, I'd have to steer clear of them.

From the picture, you picked the Assimetrico, not the best Corsa for wet conditions.

I used the Corsa "system" and never had an issue in the wet.

Ditto on thstones comments on the Nitto NT01 tires. I'm competitive against Z06 Vettes running Hoosiers.

Yes, I run 235/40/18 up front with 295/30/18 in the rear on my 993 Turbo. I use 2 sets of wheels and tires. Kumho Ecsta's and Yoko AD08's.
