It could be a coincidence or it may be a bad switch, but you need to determine which.

Yeah, I knew that was the way to go but I was trying to convince myself I could do it the easy way.

So I did put the original switch back in and the a/c and blower work.

Good news, bad news. Good news is I know what the problem is and can now fix it. Bad news is I wasted time and money on a bad product. Stay away from this Meyle switch!
