Do we still concur that these pads need to be changed out before 80K miles to avoid chain damage?

I can't imagine taking cam covers off with the engine in the car

Hardest job I ever did on my car.

OE engine rebuilt,3.6 litre LN Engineering billet sleeves,triple row IMSB,LN rods. Deep sump oil pan with DT40 oil.
