When I rebuilt my 1st engine I installed a oil pressure gauge with the sending unit installed in the drivers side cam cover. Room is limited by the air filter housing & installation must be done from underneath by the transmission. I had to make an adapter to the metric threads in the cam cover which added about 1" to the installed height & jammed against the air filter housing so I removed it once the engine was broken in.
