I've not seen a temp sensor that would not stick out too far. One interesting souliton is to have a bung welded into one of the large oil passage ways in the oil cooler for the temp sensor.....

Thanks! Yes, this may be the case especially with an adapter. I can not see my engine at the moment. Are you talking about both cam cover locations or just the driver's side?

The oil cooler bung maybe a tricky fab by the sounds of it
