Angry 986 + tire retread = :(

I was out driving this morning when all of a sudden in front of me was a piece of tire retread. I swerved as fast as possible but just barley caught it with my front passenger side tire, it kicked the retread up and took a nice gouge out of the side of my car. It is down in the side skirt under the door where there is the stone/chip protection. The scrape is about 6 inches long and a good 1/8 inch deep in the middle.

Any thoughts on a good way to fix/mask this? I was thinking about maybe just filling it in with a black Sharpie marker. Any better ideas? My car is Basalt Black metallic BTW so just coloring it black is probably going to be noticeable if you look for it.

This part of the car appears to be plastic. Are there going to be any future problems I need to worry about?

Thanks.
