yea those are the standard Porsche lugs. You can't paint those but can clean them real good from time to time with a rotary steel wheel, or a hand SS brush, if you almost love screws too! They come back to life with little effort.
I covered mine with little black plastic hex caps I got for $1. I cover the inner wall surfaces of those caps with grease using my finger, leaving about 0.5 thick of grease in there. Those sit quite tight onto the hex head and lugs behind stays nicely protected and clean.

Did you just throw them on randomly?!
The point of the crest should be pointing at the valve stem...or at least have them all oriented relatively the same.
Looks good, aside from that.

Ahhh, didn't know that.
Anyway, I only just put them on so I put them vertical so that I could take the pictures for the forum post. Off to adjust them right now, they are able to be twisted whilst on.

And another.....pity the bolts are a bit of a mess. Think I need some paint on them. Maybe black for a bit of contrast and to match the recently painted side vents.

Fred, you devil!
This is pure pornography. I can't wait to put them on my car. I just have to wash it first.
Oh, how do they withstand a pressure washer?

Edit: I was hesitant for a while, but now I'm glad I ordered them without engraving.

Cool pics! I am so happy to hear you like them, thanks for the kind words bud.
Excellent question RE pressure washer. I don't know the answer so based on luck really. I am 100% certain it won't defect the anodizing in any way, that coating is so strong it even resist high speed flying gravel and sand. I'm worried about the crest though. Although they were coated with the same BASF coating used by automakers to coat headlights (and Skybreakers!), the problem is with the epoxy behind this crest.
The epoxy I've used has the exact same thermal expansion coefficient as aluminum, however this does not mean it is 'flexible'. So... too much pressure on the crest and it could/will deform - weakening the epoxy bond. (my guess)
So in all, yea you can still use the pressure washer, just keep the nozzle at about 15~30cm distance to the crest and all should be bling'ing for a long time.

Personally, I would never use a pressure washer on these cars, or any car. Too many ways for things to go wrong in a hurry

Captain, I'll take your word for it. Culprit myself, got that little yellow Karcher that can blast off oil and muds pretty quickly. Never I had to worry about getting the nozzle too close to the paint job... just because these things never happens, right!? watch out for rubber seals I've been warned by my kind and intrigued neighbor once - I was so 'weaponized' with my Karcher that day.
you'r right, these thing can be brutal, so fun also loll

I'll see if I can be faster than the eBay folks who copy these things. Normally you see these things appearing on eBay 1~2 months later. Or could be faster.. they have the complete DIY here to follow
At the moment my machines are taken and set-up to do projectors. I have one job after that for a fine and kind customer in the UK, and only then I can have the machines back to run a small batch of those again. We'll see, certainly won't be before late summer I'm sure :/
Wish I had the dosh to buy more CNC machines :/ It is what it is I guess... so poor... lolll

I washed the car and installed mine today. Very happy with the look. Need to do something about the bolts, though... 😝
