Not sure I'm following...
Did you remove the clutch line from the slave? If so, why?
You don't mention loosening the slave cylinder bleeder valve.

All I've ever done to bleed the clutch line is to connect the motive to the MC, depress AND HOLD clutch pedal (need a helper for this). Open the bleeder valve on slave and let some fluid out until its running clear. Tighten bleeder valve. Remove Motive from MC. Pull clutch pedal up by hand.

All done.
