I'll second that. Very positive feel to it. Gonna take some getting used to it.
And since winter just came back, might be a few days....

Done
I installed a shifter today!
Took me around an hour
few tips:
-To remove the center console, it's better it the hand brake is a bit loose: it has to go high. You can also engage the 4th gear, you'll have more room to remove it.
-Get that: SureBilt/4 pcs. seal and O-Ring remover set 82030 - Read Reviews on SureBilt #82030
It can be used to remove the lower section of the mid console, pry the shift boot and access the screw hidden under the coin holder!
Trust me, it will save you a LOT of time!
-Use zip ties to mark the position of the cables in their holders, and use bigger zip ties to hold the spring compressed when you put the cable back in:
We have almost reach the minimum amount of people to start
Ben.

I have had my 99 3.4 for almost 2 years now but just now finding some time to work on, get back to the forum and discovered both of the Ben threads. Ben your enthusiasm is impressive!
PM me and let me know what info you need, I want a shifter from the next round. I haven't turned a wrench much in the last thirty years but did enjoy replacing the rotors, pads and sensors last week.
Still trying to education myself about induction options and what will work best for my 3.4. Currently the throttle response is not very smooth and I am sure there is a way to get more out of it without spending a fortune.
Thanks

Hi guys,
here is the link to follow the bearings shipment. Since it's usually to longest to arrive, you can consider that once I receive them you'll receive your shifter soon after

Thanks!
Ben.

Installed short shifter this morning - the only rookie mistake I made was not ordering a new Shift linkage Coupling, mine was fairly warn. I just ordered a new one from Parts Geek. Hardest part was removing the original shifter. I used a dremel to shave down the plastic then a large flat head screw driver to push it out. Will take it for a spin this evening - wife had to leave and I have the little ones with me.
Thanks again Ben006
