^ You're on, no worries
I've received a few PM y'day and feel I should have said that before: members who've shown interest in this thread are lined-up (priority) for one of these kit. There is no worries on that. I'll contact you directly by PM before the 1st so you can grab your kit before they vanish. Counted 8 of you guys already so there should be few left anyway. We'll see....
Giller, I'll snap a few pics of what the ashtray light conn looks like and how I'll snake the wire under the console (possibly just by pushing it in with my fingers). Has to be easy mate. rfuerst911sc - hang on a few days I'll get you that S draft mate
Let's do xmas first
Merry Christmas to you guys

(^pic stolen from another forum.... not my children lol)

I don't suppose you have any pics of other colors. I'd love to see white and then blue.
Thanks.

I just thought of a simple question (forgot in all the excitement) and forgive me if its been asked already - How does it look in the rear view mirror of the driver? Especially at night, I presume vehicles headlights that are following you are brighter than the intensity of the LED's and will overpower them so it should not affect rear view visibility at all but thought I'd ask. What have you noticed Fred?
Cheers!

It's a sports car, who uses their rear view mirror?

I do! I enjoy looking back and seeing the expression on their face as I blow past them!

Dunno about you guys but in terms of visibility, the Boxster doesn't provide much between those hoops anyway I have to use my side mirrors more than anything else on this car.
In all honesty I haven't driven the boxster with the badge+porsche etched deflector I have at the moment. I did however drove the car during an evening between Shanghai and Anji (3hrs drive) at the beg of Dec with that stupid looking HUD thing lol (was a Porsche car group drive-out... so HAD to show off a little!). Took me about 30min to get used to it really - you forget about it. Even illuminated you can still see clearly what's behind ya imho. Might be different if you etch the entire surface area of the wind deflector with let's say, a full size/solid American flag design, dunno...
I did get to see what it look like when illuminated when I was taking pics the other day. If you ask me... I think the red Porsche lettering looks quite cool from the mirror. Kinda liked it a lot in fact lol
Not sure if anyone told you but its already Jan 1st 2015 here!!! Just back from a friend's home party (2hrs drive for a 20km distance). NEVER go out on New Year eve in a 26million pop city. My first mistake of the year I guess
Happy New Year everyone!
Oh, and as promised, that best-in-the-world(lol) boxster wind deflector is LIVE and avail for grab:

I have mine ordered with the Amber and Violet lighting options. Nice touch having the extra LED strip included.
So, to make sure I get it right when I brag to my friends: These were designed in a private research facility using high tech computer simulations:

...made with the finest available materials, and assembled in China by a Canadian?

BTW...ordered my deflector today. Unfortunately, the car is in outside storage so the install will have to wait a few months.
Look forward to see what others order.

Thanks and Happy New Year Fred and everyone else on this wonderful forum!!!
Ordered mine in cold white with the Red LED's as a backup(very nice touch). I think the problem most people will have is deciding on that color, most already know what they want etched.
Can't wait to receive it and show it off!!

Order Update
Monday morning here, apologies for not sending individual updates - tough it would be okay if I just update here
Took those two shots yesterday eve right after I've finished putting your kit electronics together. LED strips and PWM controllers tested and now secured with your packing slip.
Also managed to get a half sheet of pmma sliced on the large laser table in 225*500mm panel sizes. Those are now ready to be cut to spec and etched with your designs into the smaller 4060 tabletop CO2 laser. I plan on getting this done during the evenings of this week. Off to my post office during the weekend... well that's the plan anyway (if no earthquake in between lol)
ps. tell your friends there is only 4 (four) kits left for grab :/ HUGE thanks for the support btw!

Hi Fred,
Happy New Year to you & your family.
Just a quick question on the design - I saw you have the "986" and you have the "S". Can you combine them into a "986 S"
Thanks
Don
