The CCFL's are rated at 30,000 hours. Mine have been in for a couple years and have not burnt out or shown any signs of dimming.
LEDs don't have the soft and solid line look of these. LEDs can also be of questionable quality. When one single LED burns out, it looks terrible. With these, I have 2 bulbs that can burn out vs a couple dozen LEDs. The CCFLs are also low cost and take very little time to replace
