Was there ever?
A cream colored Boxster -- not the sharp white -- but a muted cream color?
My wife swears she saw a Porsche -- but not sure if 996 or 986.
She loved the color. I'm in search of one with a Brown interior. Tip preferred.
thx,
Mike

That car is actually yellow when you see it in the sun, Mike is looking for "Cream White".

Very early 986s (up to '99 maybe) had the option of coming in a pastel (I'm forgetting the OEM name here) yellow rather than the vibrant Speed Yellow:
Pastel Yellow:
Speed Yellow:
I don't believe there were any cream/beige Boxsters until the 987 model line. There is always the chance of a rare paint to order customer 986 in beige, but I have yet to see one.

Excellent -- were there any 986's that came this way?
My wallet would appreciate a mature vintage :-)

Don't know Mike, the color "Cream White" has been around for a couple of years, but I really don't know how far back it goes. Might want to run that question past a dealer.

The cream color is definitely a later Porsche color, and I see them mostly on 997's. Very classy and would stand out with the right interior (cocoa).

Extremely late, but I remember stumbling across this thread before I had purchased my Boxster... I had always been meaning to answer the question but never got around to it.
Porsche did make an off-white/cream 986 paint color - it is Biarritz White. I happen to own a Biarritz white Boxster, here are some photos... The cream color of the paint is much more visible in person.

What is the paint code for Biarritz White
I've got a 98 that was repainted before I acquired it. Had just assumed it was Glacier White and purchased a used trunk in that color to discover the new part was way too white. What is the paint code for Biarritz White? You can find that info on the sticker under the front hood. The sticker was removed from my hood. Probably because of the repaint.
Thanks for the link Surf40. How about you? Do you know the paint codes for Biarritz White or for Carrera White? Its difficult to see, is carrera white more or less white than Glacier?
Thanks
Joe
