Looks like you guys are having a fun summer at the track.
Someday perhaps during retirement, I might be able to swing back east and do all those lovely tracks. But, for now, it is still summer break until October

I've been using my iPhone8 with Track Addict for my track days, but am having trouble finding a decent holder that mounts on the windshield. The mounts I've tried vibrate way too much, and it really degrades the video quality. Any suggestions?
I'd love to post some videos from the Pacific Northwest, but the quality of the videos just isn't good enough.
Last event my buddy and I stayed connected through audio so we could talk to each other, so much fun! Unfortunately I’m still working on putting a new engine into the Boxster track car so I had to take my 911 which I converted to a track car for the weekend. Probably not the safest idea if you’re a beginner so don’t try this at home.
1. A little romp in a friend's GT3RS at Chuckwalla CCW with PCA. The R7 tires had 20 HC and were well past their expiration date but oh what a car! We had a ton of traffic and it was like shooting ducks in a barrel getting around them. The best I could do was 2:01 here but a 1:56 is possible in this car on fresh rubber and no traffic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKs11zNd590&list=FLUs5LPmF64NEcExlSrWdGsg&index=8&t=0s
2. My brother and I lapping Buttonwillow #1 in identical Boxster 2.5L BSX class cars with PCA. Always a hoot! 2:13 was my best time that weekend and still stands as a BSX class record in both PCA and POC. https://youtu.be/sU_jreQz6nA
3. A lap of the historic Pomona Fairplex track where Phil Hill, Carrol Shelby, and Dan Gurney used to chase each other around in the 60s. It had been raining in the AM and my windshield was wrecked from passing cars through puddles. https://youtu.be/dl0JPfcCD2g

1. Chasing M Rondeau around AAA Speedway Fontana. Both these 911s are stripped out race cars with more grip and much lighter weight. My car has a slight HP and aero advantage so I could stay with them until my tires went off. Notice as we all three drive around the slower black GT3 in T2. Note the speeds, we were moving pretty fast there. My best time at AAA Speedway in the Cay 2.9 is a 1:54 in zero traffic:
2. Laguna Seca 1st look with friends. No support vehicle this weekend so I ran my car fully stock on RE-11 tires. Had a lot of fun playing with Greg and Ken as I learned this iconic track. I have been known to coach myself as I dig into each corner of a new-to-me track:

That Pomona footage is great! What year was that, Top?

I think that was 2012, the year of the deluge. A fun track that we used for 4 years but Fairplex management changed and they upped the rental rate 5x so it is no longer viable for car clubs. Too bad because it is 20 minutes from my house.

I always loved that track! It was a blast to drive.

OK bumping this thread up. I am going to Sebring this weekend in my Cayman, I haven't been there is a while - I had a single day in May 2020 and a weekend in Feb 2020 and that is it.
I had been stuck for years at 2:43 in my Boxster, and it took a while for me to get used to the Cayman (purchased in March 2019) and to be able to match those times, and in Feb 2020 I was able to get my first sub 2:40 lap at Sebring:
When I went back in May for a single day, I was able to run a 2:40 but not a 2:39. I have various excuses, traffic, heat, etc... but the fact is I didn't put it together This was a fun session chasing these Caymans, and one other difference, I am on a 285/35/18 Hankook R-S4 rear tire vs 275/40/18 in the previous video.
With it being cooler weather, and also I have added a "big wang" (plus Cayman R splitters although they are pretty small) to the Cayman, I am hoping (and curious) to see how the car does. I am hoping to take some more time off by having more confidence and speed in T1 and T17, and maybe rolling some more speed through T16. At VIR this past November I had to move all my braking up as I seemed to have more braking power and stability, which I have heard can come from a wing and I think that may help me in T16 which is a big trailbrake corner for me.
For comparison, I was 2 seconds faster at Roebling and 3 seconds faster at VIR after adding the wang, so I am curious to see what happens at Sebring.
I will report back next week, hopefully with some faster times. Who else has some 2020 track vids, post them up!
Anyone else going this weekend to Sebring with Suncoast PCA?
Well, given this is a 986 forum and this is the boxster racing sub-forum, I feel bad that I don't (yet) have any track videos in my 2000 Boxster S race car project car, but heading to the track next Monday with it so should have some to share then.
In the meantime, here are a couple of videos in my other track car (2015 GT3):
2015 GT3 at Thunderhill 3-Mile, had some major problems with auto-focus on the phone I was using. This was before I installed the proper dual-camera VBOX system seen in the WRLS video above. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxd2FI5yUqk
The Thunderhill video is old, and I was recently there again for the first time in over a year. I was able to match the previous PB on the first session and was perfect conditions to go out and lay down a new PB (hoping for sub 2:00) but I blew a coolant line that ended the day for me Car is all fixed up now, but that was a write-off of a day
