Harness and seat question

I bought some sparco Pro ADV seats. They came out of a 2014 cayman, so im hoping that they are a straight bolt in. does anyone know if this is the case?

On to the harness. Where are people attaching the shoulder straps for a 5 point harness? Is it safe to attach it to the factory roll bar?

If they came with rails for a Porsche 911,986,987 they should mount up fine. My harness is mounted to the floor seat belt bolt on the outside with an adapter. They are also mounted to the straight bar in the roll-bar, and then through seat back holes. And last the the bolt for the center rear seat mounts also with an adapter. The adapters were purchased from Rennline. It took 4 seat belt snap clips as well. I can't remember if those came with the belts or I bought them from Rennline also.

I wrap the shoulder belt around the Boxster roll bar. The geometry works for me because I am quite tall. Sometimes wrapping to the rollbar causes too much of a downward angle on the shoulder straps. See here for mounting guidelines:

I recommend a 6 pt harness, and if your seat and rails didn't come with a sub bar, check brey Krause and then the various vendors and the classifieds to pick those up.

I highly recommend a head and neck restraint device when using a harness.

Racing seats are a great mod, it really helps when you don't have to brace with your leg and the steering wheel, and I get a lot of useful feedback through my shoulders via the wings of the seat.
