Nothing I have tried works perfectly but by using a little wheel cleaner or alcohol first, they seem to stick pretty well.

I do not have a clue why but the stuff that looks like duct tape but is silver reflective seems to stay on better.

Ditto. You can find it in any good hardware store. Much better than the regular duct tape.

We use the silver tape in the Rolex and Continental Tire Series, with good results. You need to clean the wheels first!
