I also found a 986.2 top (4-bow with glass rear window) on car-part.com and had it installed on my 986.1. Yes the back window is smaller than the plastic one, but it's larger than you get on the glass-window aftermarket tops that fit on the 3-bow frame. Engine access is also not too bad with the 986.2 top--you even get a convenient nylon strap to hold the window up.

I replaced my top because the plastic window broke--someone (NOT ME) lowered the top when the window was cold and brittle. I do appreciate not needing to do the Boxster Chop with the glass window. My wife appreciates it even more .
