Engine side vent types

The engine side vents on my 2003 Boxster side vents sit on top of the sheet metal, some others that Iíve seen fit nicely inside of the body. Iím guessing this is an ďearly vs lateĒ vent thing. If this is so, can these be interchanged? Iíd like mine to be more recessed. Iím ok with a little judicious body modification to make it work. What do you think?

Likely they can. I swapped out my "deep" vents, which I believe are stock... for the turbo vents, or something along those lines.

My 2000 has 1 of each LOL. My guess is a previous owner replaced one of them with the wrong style

The two sides are different because the vents serve different air flow purposes: Driver's side is an air intake for the engine, passenger's side is an engine compartment heat vent

Update. I installed a pair of early vents in the 2003 and they fit perfectly. I’m pleased with the more streamlined look. Thanks for the constructive comments.

OK. I don't think I'm wrong. If I am, please correct me.

Who the f uck are you? You think putting a period at the end of an existing users name is going to slide by me you scamming cocksucker? You think us regulars don't pay attention to the efforts of losers like you?

The vents? You clearly have zero ****************ing integrity if you'd compromise it for a $50 set of vents, silly mother ****************er.

OK. Rant over. Correct me if I'm wrong. b itch.

Wow that was the first time I have ever been cloned. Anyways how about $20 plus shipping? I'll have to dig them out of the shed.
