I agree, the alternator is damaged. Just replace the alternator.

The belt tensioner bracket (PN 99610201603) contains the cradle/sleeve that the alternator bolt sits in, so even if the cradle/sleeve was damaged its not part of the engine block.

With all of that being said, I'll be glad to send $3,500 immediately for your car.

Good post Tom... I was looking for a good picture of the alternator earlier when I commented... I forgot all about that video:

That back window needs some help. If nothing else, try using 3M double sided tape to hold it in place with a bead of Window Weld around the edge to give it a good seal.

YOUR ALL RIGHT! :dance: it's just the alternator ear. I had to take a second look at. I've just been so frustrated with the car and when things go wrong I expect the worst. I came so close selling my Boxster on facebook over an easy repair. Thanks again!
