I can't believe they're still getting people to buy them.

They will be yellowed, peeling and failing electronically in a year or less.
Sorry that you wasted so much money on them because they are junk.
Don't sugarcoat it, tell him how you really feel. 😲

I did. They're garbage.

I'm not trying to make the guy feel bad, just trying to prevent others from flushing $1,000 down the crapper.
Yes, after working on them, I really despise them. Terrible quality...

Hmmm, I don’t have my Boxster anymore, but here’s a pic of it when I did have it the year prior with the OEM headlamps, and I think it looked good with the plain old headlights. Lol. Sorry, but those headlights look really aftermarket to me. And darn...for $1k, you can get a used set of the factory Litronics.

Oh, and what’s wrong with the OEM tail lights? I didn’t think they made the car look old at all...

I really like the look of those LED taillights.

WOW...the new headlights are already down to 500€.
Now someone needs to 3D print "Klimtlights" covers, lol.

A year on, how are these Gen 2 headlights holding up? Any issues? Any failed LEDs?

Asking as these are now less expensive than a pair of OEM lights and I need to replace both of mine.

To explain: Charles' upgrade (which I'd love) unfortunately impossible for me, and Litronics would require the entire leveling install, which is unfeasible $$$-wise.

IIRC the stock Litronics retrofit can be done but the auto levelling just won't work.

This comment sealed my decision to switch out the headlights on my wife's birthday present. I installed the 1st generation DRL Headlights (silver edging).

Still don't like that look of a bunch of LEDs; looks cheap. I didn't even like it on early versions on Audis, but love the solid edging they've used since 2013. Chevys and Nissans have these rows of LEDS and it is not a artful look.

It'll work if you install ALL the components. This includes sensors on your suspension. The full kit is expensive, but a requirement if you want to do it according to Polish regulations.

Okay, so everyone is commenting about the looks. De gustibus non disputandum est.

How about saying something about their reliability?

The fit is very nice. My only complaint is that they don't lock in place and you can wiggle them out. Unlike of the originals, where you have to use the tool to rotate the cam. It seems to me that the tabs where the cam locks into don't have lobes to lock the cam in place. If I get a change I'll post pics. I found a workaround to keep the cam from rotating and so far it's holding up well.

How are they holding up? I just put the 718 tails on mine and upgrading the headlights is next on my list, I think the black set w/o chrome would look great.

LED's Defective after 20 Hours

I would agree with all of the negative comments in regard to aftermarket LED replacement headlights. I purchased a set of the black ones from a large eBay seller and they lasted about 20 hours before 2 of the 4 small led lights that surround the main headlight bulb started blinking non stop. The eBayer will not replace the headlight as it is past the 90 day warranty. So I'm out over $1000 for about 20 hours of headlight life. They did look great IMHO but they are typical junk with really poor manufacturer support and apparently no quality control.

That's a good reason to make your own. The complete LED headlight kit was approximately $300 and after almost a year of use one of my panamera bulbs goes off and on by itself. If you tap the headlight it comes back on but I need to replace it. A complete DLR kit is between 40 and 60 dollars. They dont photograph well because the LEDs are bright and mess with the camera but its an easy fix.

That really sucks. Have you looked to see how hard it would be to replace the projectors in those units? You might be able to go JBauer's route with the newer enclosures.

If they can be taken apart like factory headlights I'd be looking into a fix.

That's my long term plan. I like the overall look of the aftermarket lights way better than stock. If I have to cut the enclosure open and then plastic weld it back together one day to fix/replace with quality projector units I'm fine with that lol!

Went in and changed my bad bulb. Would of took about hour and a half but decided to add some chrome to my blacked out inner headlight. I think it kinda dresses it up.

They fit really well, have a 3D quality below the light but are expensive. You have to specify the new no turn signal hole version. $425.shipped.
