Yes. IIRC, the immobilizer is only interrogated at startup. Once the car is started and running it would continue to run. This would explain why your car continued to run but wouldn't start the next time (after flooding).

Yep....

.....I’m at Intercontinental airport and watched all the flood coverage on KHOU and KPRC. It was bad on 249 and 1960.

Sent you a PM from a fellow Houston resident. The rain was crazy. Unless you live here you don't understand how quickly the rain can accumulate on the street. My street went from wet to 18" deep in about 15 minutes today. I feel for you brother. Sent you some info on what I did when this happened to me.
