For me it's the glass window top. That plastic window is so annoying.

Hard to say. The glass window is really nice, nice to be able to see other cars in the rearview mirror. And I think the 03 top is a little better quality.

But I have noticed that the UDP and the inexpensive cat back muffler from Amazon make the car ALOT more fun to drive.

And then there's the after market double din stereo, mine's Pioneer. Nice sound! I didn't have Bose.

And fresh tires!

As I said, "Hard to say."

Removal of the Secondary Air Injection system.

The SAI is an air pump that injects air into the exhaust for about 90 seconds at cold start up to help the catalytic converters get up to temp faster and to reduce cold start emissions.

The air pump itself is on the passenger side of the engine compartment above the intake manifold. It kind of looks like an alternator but without a pulley.

When you start your car cold, listen for a motor whine in the background for a short time. That's the SAI pump working.

Running the square tire setup (8.5" wheels and 255 tires on all four corners).

Improves the handling immensely.

Safety note: Increasing the front tire width from 205 (or 225) to 255 causes the handling to transition from the stock understeer condition to an oversteer condition. Front and rear adjustable sway bars are needed to bring the handling back to a neutral balance. Don't try this mod without the adj sway bars and some knowledgeable help in setting them up.

I just got the Tarett bars and ran my first weekend with them - even with the "stock" 225/45/17 front 255/40/17 there was so much more mechanical grip. I took 3 seconds off at Carolina Motorsports Park, although that might not be the best comparison since it was a year since my last trip there. However I am going to Roebling in a few weeks, and so I'll know if I really do have more grip, or if it was just the improvements I made over the last year.

Depending on how that goes, I may give the square setup a try...

My favorite mod - that's hard to say. Most of my mods are reliability and safety. Even the bars I mostly got to see if I could reduce tire wear on the edges. probably my FD Mostorsports "Fister" exhaust mod is my favorite mod
And a quick edit: or Ben's ball bearing shifter.

Short shifter changed the entire experience of driving this car. No question #1 for me.

The two "D's" are up there too. De-amber and De-snorkle.

That's a tough one. The lowering springs change the look. The short shift really changes the driving feel and the Beluga sounds wonderful ( thanks Steve). I like them all. LN gave me peace of mine.

And at what point does one go from a fun road cruiser to a uncomfortable race car. I would love to strip out everything but then listening to everything moving would probably drive me nuts. It's too bad some of the real good ones cost so much, like carbon fiber this and that.
Seats would be a nice one too. More racey feel, lighter without all the removal of stuff to make the car unbearable on the road.
I'm a long way from race car but am open to getting a little closer.

Well up until now i havent done or tried any serious mods. But here are mine thu far:
Changed dash speakers on 4th iteration now as full audio upgrade in work.
Swapped the stock 4 channel amp for a 6 channel out of a 996 cab.
Did a complete led light upgrade interior plus tag light. Bulbs added more light and burn much cooler.

Favorite the next one on the books! Lol

I think my audio upgrade will be favorite once finished.

Forgot a mod: renline magnetic cell phone holder. Probably favorite got cell phone out of the way while easy to see gos.

987 Shifter, Momo Steering wheel (at the cost of the drivers airbag) but so much better. Underdrive pully. NO more bleeding PS pump.
