IIRC, the only way to set the time mode in the Boxster is either with a PST2 or to disconnect the battery for a few hours. Upon reconnecting the battery and resetting the clock, you will get the option to select 12 or 24 Hr. mode before proceeding to set the actual value. Once this time mode is set, it is not adjustable unless there is an interuption to the power supply. Hope this helps.

I had my battery disconnected for almost two days while I was finishing up a repair on my 2001S, and upon reconnect, the clock did not have to be reset?
