Peek under the car, and if the oil filter looks all plastic like, like below, you have the OEM canister filter.

If you peek under and see a "regular" metal oil filter with brand names and printing on it, you have a spin on adapter. Also your magnet test is probably a good one too.
You are in Jax, right? If you wanted to come over sometime we could install your spin on adapter and do the first oil change together, I've got all the jacks, tools, etc. Once you do it the first time you will be all set for next time
