Non Starting 1997 Boxster

Hey guys,
Back to square one with my non-starting 1997 box. Have replaced the ignition lock out switch on the clutch (twice), works for awhile then nothing again. Jumped the wires and again good for a couple days-same problem. Checked the E1 fuse. Has a new immobilizer, so I'm running out of ideas. The starter works perfect. Could the solenoid just gradually
fade out? Any and all ideas are most welcome!
