My 2001 S seems to blow white smoke each time I start it up and been doing so for many years now.... after stressing about it each time I start the lady up I gave up on the idea that there is something wrong! haha It's now become 'normal' .... enjoy !

My 01 S never blew smoke on startup except the week leading up to the AOS failure and occasionally after an auto-X run. That's its behavior from between 55K and 80k miles on the clock.

You could try keeping the oil 1/2 to 3/4 bars on the guage to see if that reduces it.

If not it could be a tiny AOS leak or a slightly less than perfect piston ring.

Nothing worth a lot of effort unless you start to see more symptoms or worsening smoke over time IMO.
