my 1st Oil Change done and I found bits

Evening guys

I did my 1st oil. Hangers today and found 3-4 little pc of what looks like aluminum.

It looks like the the foil that is on top of the oil container but much thinner. Is thi a possibility?

It is not metal as it does not stick to the magnet.

Other than that everything looks great!

The oil l nice a clean.

Should I be in panic mode?
Neither me or my mechanic can figure out where it can from.

All suggestions an comments welcome......
Cheers
Bart

In the filter or in the pan ?
Check with a magnet
Rinse the debris in gasoline first to determine the true color.

All that means is it's not iron or steel.

All other metals are not magnetic; i.e. aluminum, magnesium, some stainless steels, etc.

It sounds like it is metal, just not magnetic.

Got to know if it is ferrous or not to start with indicating probable source. Hence magnet +cleaning of the FOM.
For example, bearing debris often looks golden color before you rinse it. Easily mistaken for bronze Babbit bearing debris. But when you rinse it in a solvent it is grey and non-magnetic.

Get a sample of oil analysed. They should be able to tell you what the fragments are.
