Full-time or part-time?

Are you a full time or part time 986 driver?

Mine is driven once every couple weeks. Today was the first time in 2 weeks easily.

Due to work, it's a lot of tools. Won't nearly fit in the box. The plan is to start dropping the truck off and drive car home.

This year it's been part time I don't like taking it out when it rains, and it seems that's all it does. Or at least through June. Normally I drive about 4 days a week.

1/4 time. While I enjoy the car I couldn't drive it every day as I find it tight and somewhat uncomfortable.

Mostly weekends and special trips. It's too nice a car to let bake in the SoCal parking lot sun everyday at work. Although, I've managed to put +/-7000 miles on it in 11 months.

Part time even though I just retired. I divide the time between my 67 MGB and the Yamaha. I enjoy them all but drive the Boxster the most.

Full time (kind of). My CSS is my bad weather / DE car and my LE is my good weather car. These are the only 2 cars I own that I don't intend to resell.

However, I was terminated from my job last mo so I have no full time work to drive to at the moment. Was 2 mo short of 35 yrs and was 5 yrs away from retiring at 62.

Part time, the A3 had most of the daily duties over the past few years. The new to me S60 is taking the 1000 mile a week beating now.

Thanks Steve & Mark. I'll be OK - my house has been paid off for 8 yrs, both Porsches are paid off, and I have $$$ in the bank. I'm ready for a rainy day. Now I just have to decide what I want to be when I grow up.

And yes to more time for DE's. Just signed up for one in 2 wks AND I'm on the wait list for a DE at Indy. I hope that one comes thru.

Now back to the thread...

Box is my daily driver, unless I want to take our 90-pound dog somewhere. I use the old Volvo wagon for that, although I do have a dog-proof seat cover that I used in my previous DD, a 1995 Miata. I really don't want dog snot all over the interior of the Box.
