12V socket - having trouble with the depth

Hello all,

It seems as though my 12V socket isn't deep enough, as most things I plug in seem to fall out. Is there any way to add a second one (I've read something about a wiper circuit? I have the Becker 210), or replace the current one with a deeper one?

It may be the diameter not the length. Older p-cars have a larger diameter 12V lighter/port than was used in the US. An upgrade kit is available.

I just replaced my Euro lighter with a US spec part from Suncoast. Easy DIY. The adapter is more money than the new lighter.

As mentioned above you just need to replace the lighter socket. Very quick, simple DIY.

It's cheaper to buy based on the part numbers than to buy the kit (Suncoast rarely has the best prices):
