Shoutout to steved0x!
On Friday, I was headed home on I-10 east heading towards Jacksonville after completing a job up in Georgia, when I see a small car up ahead with a trailer. As I got closer, I realized it was a 986.
Getting even closer, I see that the trailer was hauling wheels, then I (rightly) assumed they were going to a track day. Turns out it was fellow user steved0x heading up to Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah!
Funny how we can meet other forum users, even in passing at highway speeds.

Going to the track. That's the proper destination for a Porsche to be going to

Is there a thread on the details of the Trailer and Hitch for the 986?
I'd be interested to see how you did it and its features.
I imagine a generator and compressor for the air tools, plus a tool box, fluids and spares?
Its a great idea and probably doesn't slow you down much, and with such good brakes, stopping is not likely a problem.
Just needs a place to sleep and a cooler for the Beer and you'd have a total solution.

Great to meet you Steve! Thanks for posting the pic. These cars are so much fun on track. After hearing about your dilemma this weekend, I'm going to be very cautious moving forward as far as what mods I do to improve stiffness and reduce lap times. Maybe I'll leave her stock for a while.

Stock is very good. Adding a race seat and harnesses was a good mod as I was tired of holding myself in place with my legs and steering wheel. Lets me feel the car better and not work as hard
