Oddly enough, I am a deposed Nigerian prince with money that I need to get rid of.

Can I give you $45,000 USD and you can take $15,000 for the car and added trouble. Throw the rest of the money in the frunk of the Boxster?

I look forward to your response...please hurry before they find me and dispatch the Nigerian ninjas to assassinate me.

When I was looking for my Boxster I ran into this kind of Scam several times. 1 of the scams had pics of a car that was being sold by a member from this site. They stole the pics right off of his CL add. I used to love to mess with them, but they are pretty quick to realize when you have figured them out!!

Chapter 6. "A little patience and I think we both can get what we are looking for"

Here's the most recent email I received. Let's see how far we can take it)) Any suggestions from "the audience"?

Same ad on Atlanta CL right now.

As for how to proceed, I sure wouldn't provide anything real.

Why not string him along and say you really want the car but how can you be sure its not a scam?

Might be fun to see the crap that he comes up with, I mean, as a physician!

Has anyone run a Carfax? Would be interesting to see what that says.

Ask him about the title. How is that going to work? That should make for some interesting reading.

Once again, I'm willing to go 'look' at it if he can come up with an addr.

Push him into the next level of story-telling.

That is so funny... you should tell the guy that to save him paper work and time that you will have your buddy show up with cash to pickup the car... no need for ebay and make it a cash-cash purchase !! hahaha Watch his eyes pop open!

Strangely enough, I happen to know a couple of Navy physicians currently stationed overseas who own a Porsche.

I love the cactus in the background in Omaha.

Maybe give them this delivery address and see if he disappears.

Between the cactus, the ocotillo and the tile roof and stucco houses it's got to be somewhere in the Phoenix area. Funny stuff.

Ask him how he manages to keep the cactus alive through the Omaha winters. Maybe some other folks from Omaha want a little desert in their yard and with his advice they too can have an ocotillo plant flower after a summer monsoon.
