Also I didn't think that style came in a 17.

If the new 18" wheels are lighter, the new tires may be lighter too (less rubber because of a shorter sidewall? each brand is different) you may very well lose some unsprung weight...
The 17's say made in Italy Cup 3 on them. I can't see an actual brand name.

The 17's weigh 43.8 lbs each on the front and 50.8 lbs on the rear.

The 18's weigh 39 lbs each on the front and 44.8 lbs each on the rear.

This weight is with the tires mounted. The 17's have one year old Hankook V12's and the 18's have beat to hell Pirelli's on them. With new tires on the 18's I will probably gain some weight, but they should still be lighter than the 17's by at least 16 lbs total
