Does that price increase really bring the 987S in line with the Cayman S? I just checked and while I didn't know the Cayman S was as cheap as it is, are they really going to bring the price of the 987S up by $4200? Seems rather stiff and would make the Cayman S pricing even more weird in that "Why isn't it cheaper than the convertible" sort of way.

If they do bring the 987S up to Cayman S specs and prices, that doesn't bother me at all. Again, the difference in horsepower is not THAT humongous and with the price difference I don't think it'd affect 05/06 residuals that much. Porsche did this with the 986 a couple times too, don't know how people felt back then.

Who knows though, maybe I'll trade up to an '07 next year.
